Artist RegionOntario
Toronto-based artist Steve Driscoll draws his artistic inspiration from the beauty of natural world, rendering scenes from the Canadian wilderness in brightly-coloured urethane paint to create captivating, otherworldly landscapes. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, his work has been exhibited throughout North America, including at the Angell Gallery, the Peter Robertson Gallery in Edmonton, and Art Toronto, and his work is part of the collections of the Mount Sinai Hospital, the Four Seasons, BMO, and TD Bank. His most recent exhibition, And A Dark Wind Blows (at the Peter Robertson Gallery), gained media attention for the artist’s use of water to flood the floors of the gallery itself, mirroring the use of water as a reflective surface in much of his work.
